Thickest water based lube and why does it matter?

Entropy Entropy
I've heard raves about various brands of water based lube being "thick". Maximus is often included in the list. What is the thickest in your opinion, and how does it really effect things? I'm guessing that it would be beneficial for anal play, but honestly it seems like all lubes will become thin with enough friction and heat eventually.

Right now I only use Maximus, but I am really trying to be more conscious on parabens and glycerin. Maximus has both and I use it for anal play. I'm going to try Sliquid Organics but I would have to say Maximus for the most part is pretty thick.

Most lubes will become thin eventually, but it seems that thicker ones typically take longer to do so. There's also personal preference involved - some people just like the way thick lubes feel.

I like Sliquid Organics Gel, its fairly thick and all the ingredients are natural so it doesn't cause any irritation
