I use strictly water base since 90% of my toys are silicone

I agree with js250 water base only so I don't make a mistake. I do like silicone though.

Water. It tends to be the safer choice and all my favorite toys are silicone or can't be used with silicone lubes.

Water, only because many of my toys are silicone and thus silicone lube is incompatible with it

I don't mind silicone lube, though. It's fine. It works, and I love all of the varieties of kinds of it, and how it's often paraben free. (Or at least moreso than water kinds, in my experience)

I feel like it's easier to get a "natural" silicone lube than a water based one, and for that reason sometimes like silicone ones better
