This looks like it would be an oil, from the photo. Am I mistaken or is this actually a lotion? Tryin to figure out if I want to purchase this one or not. Thanks!

I've tried a few of those heating lotions before, and they didn't do much for my GF and I. Just some heat and tingling sensations, but nothing really special beyond that.

The product you are asking about does not have any oil in its listed ingredients, so it is not an oil.

It looks more like it would be a water based "massage oil." So I think it would function more like an oil than a lotion.

This was an oil, not so much a lotion. I think if I didn't have such a reaction to it, it would have been fine.

I stick to the pure oils and try to avoid the mixtures of gunk.
