I think, communication is the key. Try talking to him. That is my suggestion.

He may think you would not want to do it or not in the mood so he might be turning to the toy. Hope this helps

It's his first, it;s probably exciting. Use it with him and then have him finish with you not the toy. It'll get old like anything else eventually.

Talk to him and set certain times for just you two, without his fake girlfriend. If that doesn't work, Penguin has a good suggestion. Insist on using it with him. Have him show you why he likes it and how he gets pleasure from it. That way, you'll learn new ways to please him.

It's new, that's a big part.

Try to talk with him and find out what he finds most exciting about the toy. Perhaps use it on him. Don't approach it as a "what does it have that I don't have", but perhaps frame it in terms of "what can we bring into our sex life from your experiences with the toy that will make it better/more stimulating for both of us?"

Or maybe just toss things up a little - do something you don't do all the time (different position, whatever).
