Does glass scare any one else

Contributor: hiroshiro hiroshiro
I have no glass-shattering fears and they're normally SO PRETTY, but I can't stand glass toys. They're way too rigid for me to enjoy (and a lot are super girthy, and obviously have no give). The only reason I would buy one now is for display purposes tbh.

I was a little weirded out when I first heard of them, but they were soooo pretty that I got a cheaper one anyway. I've a convert, they're fabulous!

I wasn't too keen on the idea of glass toys at first, but once I tried one I loved them. My new favorite toy is a glass dildo my boyfriend got me for Christmas. It's a handblown piece, done by a glassblower he was helping. It is PERFECT, glass toys are really durable, get really slick, and hit the right spots with perfect pressure.

I love glass I never thought it'd be something I was into but once I tried it I had to admit that glass is just wonderful.

I've never used glass and don't think I would. I know I'm very clumsy and am afraid that I would somehow chip the glass toy and hence never be able to use it again.

I remember when I first heard of the existence of glass toys, I thought they were meant to be erotic artwork or something, and not meant for use (hey, I was fifteen!). When I learned that yes, people use them, the idea scared me for a long time. Thank goodness for the plethora of information on Eden! I now have a few glass toys of my own, and I'm happy to say that they're quite excellent.

I love glass toys! I've always loved art glass and have a small collection of pieces. I've just discovered glass toys and am really enjoying trying them out. I just love looking at them and fondling them. Some are so nice that I've put them in with my art glass. I wonder if anyone will ever notice them and know what they are.

I was concerned at first, but after using and realizing how rugged it is, i'm not worried.

Breaking a piece of glass would be like breaking a Pyrex baking dish with your bare hands (or genitals). Pretty much impossible.

Its incredibly safe - just be sure you check it frequently and don't ... more
I also agree with Toy Geek. Though I understand the initial unease.

Huh... I never really thought that the glass would be a pyrex-type glass... That's actually rather interesting. Though the rigidity would still be a rather ominous feature.

It does concern me a little bit. I'm afraid it would chip without me noticing, and cut something. D:

I'm waiting for my first glass toy. I'm a bit anxious, but also excited. I hope that it lives up to all that I have heard from glass toy users.

Glass doesn't scare me, but some of these questions do

Most people hear glass and they think of the stuff they use in the kitchen or the nice goblets/cups their family owned. Most sex toys are made from Pyrex, yes the stuff you can cook in, which is very resilient and decently shatterproof. It is really safe and non porous, but everyone has their own fears and concerns, so if it scares you then stay away from it. Do whatever is best and safest for you.

My only fears regarding it have to do with over chilling, over heating, dropping on a tile floor while cleaning. I inspect my glass well before first time use, occasionally before other times. I store my glass in a soft spot, I'm not very worried.

The material is safe, but I'm not using it because I know I'd end up dropping it and break them.

When I first heard of glass, yes it did... but after being here for awhile and reading about it, it never scared me anymore.

No! Using glass is easy to clean, smooth, and feels great! Can be a little hard/if used with too much pressure may hurt but all in all they're awesome!!
