It just depends how hard we want to play. Today I'd say the double locking cuffs...tomorrow it might be the silk.

I prefer either leather or the velcro closure kind that Sports Sheets makes.

Although metal cuffs are "traditional" ; you have to be careful with them. Not only can they hurt you (in a way you don't want to be hurt) and leave tell tale marks, but they can cause nerve damage if used incorrectly or if you struggle too much. I'd leave metal cuffs for well seasoned bondage players. I really don't think they are for those just starting out.

Although silk is pretty, it causes terrible "rug burns" if it slides across your skin improperly. I'm really not a fan. Pretty and sexy looking, but not practical for many things, aside from a photo shoot, or non moving subjects.

Neither one of us likes being "restrained", but silk can be used to "wrap" but not tie. Kind of the ultra light version of restraint?

Police handcuffs are really risky cuffs. It's pretty easy to cut of circulation. And silky sashes can be awesome if you know basic rope technique. But if you just tie a double knot and let someone wiggle around in them for a bit, you are never going to get that thing untied. Trust me, I did that once! Oh, it was embarrassing. *blush*

I prefer leather cuffs for both looks and comfort. Handcuffs can be accidentally overtightened and they can leave embarassing bruises if you get a little too "into the moment." Silk is nice sometimes too. Silk is always sexy and feels great against the skin. I just like the leather cuffs more. I think there is a fetish element to leather restraints that attracts me.

Of these choices, silky sash. My personal favs are a Japanese rope pair with a slip-knot style design. I bought mine at a shop in Hartford. They are super soft and incredibly difficult to get out of

I haven't used any of these myself, but there's no way that tradition handcuffs could be comfortable! Of the two fabric choices, I'd probably go with the polyester. I'd want something I know would keep a good hold, and silk tends to be too "slippery" for me.

i prefer anything that provides the restraint that i enjoy but doesn't cut into my skin- too reminiscent of getting arrested, but i love that i can throw as much force forward as i want when i'm being held back so cuffs stay metal goes.
