What is the Head/Ball of the Hitachi Magic Wand made of?

Someone just asked me on my review of the Hitachi Magic Wand what the head/ball is made of. In looking at the product description it states plastic as the overall material, but I couldn't see a direct reference to the head.

It looks and feels like a hard plastic to me with miniature ridging. Can anyone else confirm this?

That's a good question. I've seen plenty of old Hitachi heads that looked really rough and yellowed over time. Whatever it is, it doesn't age very well.

It's actually slightly plushy. It makes me think of pleather, but I don't know if that's what it is or not.
