I don't know if you've seen those stick-on heating pads sold in stores, but it's basically the same; the temperature isn't enough to burn you, but the prolonged exposure could. Sort of like when your lap top overheats, its really warm but it doesn't hurt... until you let it *keep* sitting on your lap.

It shouldn't burn you if you don't directly expose your skin to it for long periods of time.

I know I've seen similar items to these in places that sell camping/outdoor gear.

No this will not burn you. I used to sell these for a toy distributor. They are reusable too. Very easy to handle. Great choice!

No they don't really get hot enough to burn you, especially since you move them around so much when you use them. We had one for a long time and for massages they are pretty great. my only complaint is the seam. I have sensitive skin so I didn't like when it came in contact with my skin (something that IS avoidable). I would definitely get one again though.

I've had mine for 3 years and never once been burned. They're amazing for cramps, aches and pains, relaxing sore and tired muscles, taking out when your going in the cold and resting your feet on (gently) when they're sore.

I don't think you'll get burns - just don't leave it on the same spot for longer than 25 seconds.

In the reviews it said that it had to be boiled? is that every time you want it hot or just to clean it?

I have arthritis in my hands and was really enjoying the heat and flexibility of this item. After 5 min. it quit heating up. Permanently. I did nothing wrong, should I give it another chance?

I have been using this product for years and it has never burned me. It doesn't stay the constant temperature for hours. Just like anything else the longer it sits the cooler it will get until it goes back to it's regular form.
