I want the throe, but mainly so we can play with oils (oiled sex anyone?) and not have to worry about staining the bed. But will it stain the throe? I want to keep it pretty!
I have a Liberator Fascinator throe. I think that oils would stay on one side of the throe (the side that came into contact with them) but I'm not sure that they would wash out completely. It might be helpful to use a degreaser like Dawn Dishwashing Liquid to pretreat oil stains before machine washing the throe.

Handwashing with shampoos also work well for getting out oil stains. It's designed to get oils out of your hair, which is rather delicate, so I've found it works on most fabrics.

Nothing I have done to these throes has damaged them in any way. I even took one to Bonnaroo this summer to keep from sitting in the mud, and it cleaned up beautifully.
Some oils will be better than others (I wouldn't trust silicone), and as has been noted some soaps are better at removing oils than others - shampoo, dishwashing detergent (hand wash), etc.
It's synthetic, so it should be pretty indestructible.
