Make or Buy Containers?

Contributor: Breas Breas
I actually never thought about making them .. which is surprising because I am a pretty creative person... I love sewing and such, so I cant believe it did not cross my mind! What an excellent idea!

I've been wanting a lingerie chest to store our toys in, but I haven't been able to find one (used) that I like. So I've been thinking about getting into wood working and making my own. As far as smaller containers, I'd just buy them.

Most of the time my toys are "on display" on my nightstand as I tend not use them as much if I keep them in the drawers. As for crafting though I do at some point hope to make a homemade toy warmer and get into temperature play.

I wish I was that crafty! I have no idea how to sew, but otherwise I would be making pouches for my toys! I usually just use the pouches that came with them (if they came in pouches) or just stick them in the box I bought for my sexy things. There is only one silicone toy that didn't come with a pouch, so I know it won't try to bond with any of the others. When I get more, I will probably have to come up with a better solution.

I tend to use cosmetics bags for my toys, they work great. Sometimes I make containers for the ones that don't fit neatly into cosmetics containers.

I make mine too! I use sturdy boxes and wrap them in decorative fabric or paper and sometimes airbrush them. I've got several. Add ribbons and they make beauiful gifts. My family gets all kids of gifts like this and they seem to like them. They do come in handy. I use shipping boxes for this to make the boxes sturdier and save from having to toss so many boxes.

Pouches are so easy to make. I'm definitely going to make some when I need them next.

I'd love to make pouches! I'm not that crafty but it sounds like a wonderful idea.

I'm in the middle of making padded pouches for some toys, but I'll often use the packages they came in or cheap old purses and makeup bags for storage.

I would buy a cheap pouch, but for a broke girl, making them works fine too.
