Question about the Luna Beads

Okay, I have received these and used them several times. I'm really not sure how I feel about them yet and have a few questions

What is the purpose of the balls inside? Are the 'vibrations' supposed to be pleasurable or do they somehow help with the muscle strengthening?

What is the purpose of having two different weights? Does this something help the muscles?

Why would you start with the lighter balls? It seems to me that starting with the heavier ones would make more sense?

Are there any recommendations for how to use these? Like certain activities?

I have the Smartballs and not the Luna beads, but I hope I may be able to help with some of your questions. I've read somewhere that the weights are supposed to help with muscle strengthening, although I'm not sure how valid that claim is. Mostly they're referred to as being pleasurable.

The heavier the weight of the balls, the harder your muscles have to work to hold them in. The advantage of the Luna system is it gives you more options. I would recommend starting out with the lighter balls and see how those work for you, and then progressing to the heavier.

I go about my daily activities with my Smartballs. Cleaning is more fun with them

Hope this helped a little!

Thanks for the thoughts. I started with the heavier first. I did not find them harder to keep in at all. Perhaps the weight difference really doesn't matter as much as the claims? I felt them easier and I think that made it easier to remind me they were in. Furthermore, these things are so large (same size as the Smart balls actually) that you don't even need to use your muscles to keep them in.

I don't really find any pleasure from them and, actually, sometimes forget they're in so I wouldn't call them fun per se. -chuckles- Although, just leaving them in doesn't actually do anything, does it?

Man, I totally disagree. I just got Luna Beads too and I absolutely love them. I don't know if they actually pleasure me, per se, but I love the feeling of them rolling around. I don't need to work on my kegels, so I won't be disappointed if they don't have that effect.

If you're interested in muscle strengthening, the Luna Beads might not strengthen muscles like traditional Ben Wa's since they are much larger, and therefor you don't have to put effort into keeping them from sliding out. On they other hand, they can be a great reminder to do kegels!

It sounds like most of your questions have been answered but maybe I can clarify a bit further. The vibration that the balls create when you move (assuming they are inside you lol) make the pelvic mucels contract on a small scale, in turn strengthening them. The weight works just like Adriana explained. There are *some* women out there who would have trouble and would have to try to keep the balls inside-which when done so on a regular basis would tighten the vaginal and pelvic mucels. When I reviewed this item I was intrigued by the concept of them being pleasurable. So what did I do? I wore them to the gym-and rocked that tredmill harder than I ever have! At least for me, yes they can create a very interesting-pleasureab le sensation but it takes some serious shakin and a movin!

When I first received them I gave them a bad review because I thought that you had to feel the muscles clench - and the Luna beads sort of made me clench and sort of turned me on... it didn't fit any category!

Now I use them around the house for boring activities - it reminds me to work my muscles and it also gets me turned on. Best of both worlds! They are too loud (or I feel they are) for me to wear to the gym or out and about in quiet situations. Music would cover it though..

I would probably just say it was something clacking around in my purse.

"What's that clicking noise?"

"Eh, I threw a bunch of change in to my pocket."

Or really, I would just be honest.

"What's that clicking noise?"

"Eh, I stuck a kegel exerciser in on my lunch break."

I would fall out of my chair (or off the treadmill) if someone replied with that!

Have you had noticeable results with them?

I guess because they just don't do anything for me pleasurably and I'm still not convinced about the hype, I don't love them.

I also agree they are a bit loud.

I've not had any sort of wonderful change to my orgasms - I'm just puzzled. It does feel nice to wear them, that's about it! Like you I don't have to clench to keep them in. I jumped up and down and did a couple of yoga moves - still nothing.

I've been wearing them for a while so if they haven't changed my body by now...

ALTHOUGH I used to complain of severe pain when I had sex and that pain has since eased tremendously. One person suggested having stronger kegels would help with the pain so maybe this is the case.

Luna Beads rock. They offer more variety than SmartBalls (which I also love) and give you the opportunity to progress from one light bead to two light beads to one heavy bead to one light, one heavy and then, finally to two heavy beads. They're more comfortable, easier to insert and LELO specifies that the weighted balls inside the beads are made of stainless steel.

I really think the two sets of balls are pointless.

I have them and I don't see much of a difference between the weights. If you stick them up there far enough you don't have to work to keep them in. Maybe it's just me though.

The vibrations are interesting, but I think they're more ticklish than pleasurable. They are a bit loud, but with the everyday buzz of life it's not noticeable.

From what I understand, the different weights are basically different levels of difficulty keeping them in. Some women might have an easier time keeping the lighter ones in at first, while for others it might not make a difference.

As for pleasure, that seems to vary from person to person.

I use the Emigi myself, but my friend has the Luna Beads. I'll have to ask her what she thinks of them - I'm curious now.

The movement of the inner balls are supposed to cause contractions that strengthen the vaginal muscles making your vagina tighter and orgasms more intense. You start with the lighter balls when beginning the exercises and once you advance you use the heavier ones for a more intense workout. I want to purchase this same product and I plan on using them during daily activities like cleaning up the house, and going to campus for classes.

Generally you start with the lighter ones and work your way up. Personally, I'd prefer a third set of balls that is even heavier, however they don't currently make them. The heavier the weight the more your muscles have to work.

I think the ball inside are for both pleasure and muscle training.

I wear mine for hours on end, when I wear them. While the heavier ones are enough for me to feel, and can be a slight turn on, they're not enough to make me sore or to be difficult to keep in.
