Shewee: women peeing standing up!

Contributor: Eucaly Eucaly
I wasn't sure which category to put this poll in, because it isn't specifically a sex toy (though I'm sure it could be used for watersports) and EdenFantasys doesn't carry it. So I made my best guess about the forum category.

Oh, well.

The Shewee is a device I've been thinking about buying for a while. Google it if you want the detailed story. Basically, it allows a woman to pee easily standing up and without doing anything more than unzipping her fly, just like a man pees.

So, it's good for outdoor areas with little privacy that males seem to thrive on while women wait in line for the one port-a-potty, as well as many other potential uses, such as gender play, watersports where the female can really aim, and so on.

What do you think about this?

If I had to use public restrooms and such more, I'd definitely get one. Right now I can usually stick to private restrooms, though.

I wonder how it works for women with larger labia. I can already pee standing up, but have to spread my labia in order to aim and make sure it doesn't trickle down my legs. Nevertheless, it's an interesting concept.

Sounds like an interesting product. I think I have heard about it somewhere before... It would be fun to try it out, though I am skeptical about whether it would work for everyone or just some people.

That sounds awesome! I love how it's sold at festivals...that's a great idea, especially since port-a-pottys can get really foul after a couple days. I might just buy one - thanks for sharing this!

This sounds interesting. I'll have to ask my fiancee if she'd use it. Haha.

I've tried the GoGirl Silicone device and it's awesome. No more having to cross your legs in the car waiting to find somewhere that has a restroom on long trips. And MUCH better than having to do the football squat-hover to keep from sitting on a public toilet.

I bought one called P-EZ for a friend who was looking for one. It is silicone rather than plastic and the larger opening of hers is a big bigger (covers more area) I think they are great.

I have always been really interested in these---I have to do a lot of outdoor work, and the men I work with always groan when I ask to stop at gas stations on the way, or tease me for having to head behind the bushes more often than them. I'd be really interested in something like this, but ...

I just don't see how it wouldn't be somewhat drippy. Do you still need toilet paper? How do you dry up to keep from getting a bladder infection (or just feeling uncomfortable)?

I've considered both products like this, and the pissing packers for FTM's, but I haven't actually gotten any feedback from anyone who's used one. You should definitely try it and let me know how you like it

This could revolutionize my attitude towards camping outdoors, however, I share Antipova's concern about dripping and drying.

Interesting concept but not sure about the physical practicality of it

I've seen several products like this online and I've always been interested, but I don't know if it would actually work just like it's supposed to. One day I'll probably end up getting one just out of curiosity.

I've mastered peeing standing up, both at a toilet and in the wild. I've no shame so privacy really isn't a concern for me. I've used the men's toilet on more than one occasion instead of standing in the god awful line for the women's bathroom.

I've seen a few things like that around and they definitely are interesting. I'd probably only use it while camping, but we camp a lot in the summer so it would see a fair amount of use.

It seems interesting, but I don't know that I'd ever want to use one. I do just fine squatting and working out my thighs, thanks.

This sounds pretty awesome. I love how the directions tell you to "aim urine to a suitable place--away from feet..."

I have two STP devices (stand to pee devices). I really, really, really like my P-style. It works great without fear of leaking or the need to practise with it. I think the SheWee looks interesting, but it also looks a bit strange to me. Like, oddly shaped or something. I wonder how easy to use it would be.

Interesting. I've been thinking of getting a Go Girl, which is the same thing.

Awesome! I'd be so into trying this cause I won't use public toilets. This would certainly make things easier!

Not to be too probing, RedVinylKitty, but how drippy are these afterward? And if it's not asking to much, are your labia on the small side or on the large side?

I really like the concept of these things. I'm not sure if this one is made as well as some of the others I've seen. I think the GoGirl one is made in a way that looks easier to use, but I'd definitely be all for trying one of these. Adds a whole new level of convenience! I do wonder though - you'd still need toilet paper, right?

Thanks for telling me about the GoGirl. I've been looking at it now and wondering about it too.

Their website says: "While the concept may be new to you, European women have used female urination devices for years."

It seems that so many interesting practices start in Europe and then slowly or never make their way to America!

Thanks for mentioning the GoGirl. I went ahead and ordered one since I have an immense hatred of public restrooms and I'm doing more trail walking these days.

Any tips you can share before mine arrives?

That... seems immensely handy. I think I might go ahead and get one! Thanks for calling my attention to it! Might get one for my mom, too, since she likes to go camping.

I'm not finicky about public restrooms. Even port-a-potties don't bother me much. My bladder's very impatient, and if I was finicky most of my days would be spent in immense pain from holding it in! But just to have the option if nothing else was available would be lovely. I've had to squat behind bushes a few times, and that really makes me nervous - any time I'm outdoors, I want to be able to run at a moment's notice if I need to (yeah, I do have a few paranoid quirks), and that's just not going to happen if I've got my pants around my ankles. Plus it's a balancing act, since I don't want to go on my pants!

This might be different for each woman since we're all shaped differently, but these tips are what work for me:

The cup part is flexible, so watch that you don't squeeze it when you're using it (especially side to side). I have better luck holding it near the base of the shaft for positioning.
When you're putting it in place you don't have to try for a full seal all around, just make sure the back part is pushing against your perineum. When you're done, sort of drag that back part forward and it wipes you off pretty well afterward. I know that goes against everything we're told about wiping front-to-back, but I've never had a problem with it. That might not work as well for women with long pubic hair though. You could always follow up with a hypoallergenic baby wipe if you want to be extra clean, so you can avoid messing with the public toilet paper too.

Sort of interesting, sort of odd. I'm not so sure how it would work. I've seen products like this before and wondered about them. It would be convenient while camping or hiking but I'm still not so sure about the hygenic aspect of it.
