It depends on your financial situation. If money is tight, it makes no sense. If you have a LOT of income that you have nothing to do with, and have no debt, then go ahead.

It's always good to buy something of quality, and quality rarely comes cheap. But it's worth it in the end, especially if you know you and your partner will enjoy it together. I have never purchased anything expensive from this site without it being amazing, so just go for it! Hope you like it!
