Toy storage

Contributor: sextoygeek sextoygeek
I wasn't really sure where to post this, but I thought this would be the best place. So I was wondering how you guys store all your toys. I had a bad experience with letting one jelly toy touch another and... well it melted. The other toy was not affected, which was strange, but yeah, I have limited space for them. I just got a storage ottoman, so I have more room for them, but I'm also looking for maybe little velvety pouches or something, just so I can keep toys together, but not touching. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I use Sugar Saks, but Eden doesn't carry them yet. I really hope they get them, because they are great, they fight bacteria and fungus with the lining, and you can have separate Saks for different toys, or store toys which won't react with to each other in the same Sak. I also have used small velvet jewelry bags and satin draw string bags to store toys. I keep my Wahl in a Make Up bag, with the cord our the side, plugged in a ready to go at all times.

I just wrap them in leftover cloth I have from junior high that we used to make pillows. I was lucky to be given all the scraps to do with whatever I wanted. They come in handy.

I personally keep mine in the original packaging for about 95% of my toys. I'd recommend a sack like PGell did. EF sells some bags here, or you can get some at your local craft supply shop, but those craft supply shops may give off fuzzies.

If you are looking for something cheap- go to your local dollar store. You can usually find things like that there. I know I've had luck at mine. It isn't always perfect, but it works.

Yup. Our Dollar Tree has both satiny and organza drawstring pouches in the card/gift/wedding area for... yes... $1.

I use plastic Ziploc bags for most of my non-glass toys, complete with label on them so I don't cross-contaminate.

I use Ziploc bags as well.

And every time I hear about a Dollar store I think about the time that the cashier requested a manager for a price check. I was like, it's a dollar store...

Heh there are some dollar stores where everything isn't a dollar, like Dollar General.

Personally, I store all my toys in a big tool box. It's really great, because it has the lower level for less used toys, and the top level for things that are used daily. The one I have also has a section on top that fits condoms and small samples of lube. My only problem is that it's already full! Time to get another one...

Most of my silicone toys have come with small pouches that they're meant to be stored in, as have most of my glass toys. The rest get placed in the bottom of the box, and it's all gravy from there
