I only have 2 friends who would be "ok" with using a sex toy, so I don't have many opportunities to give them as gifts. Not sure that I know enough about their preferences to be able to make a good choice for them either.

I haven't. I had planned to get my best friend one for christmas this past year, but then I ended up getting her a videogame (since she suddenly took an obsessive interest in it) and a new ipod (since hers broke). I'm thinking for her birthday, if I can get together enough points for something nice.

Never given or received one. I did know a guy who kept saying he'd get me a vibrating dildo for my birthday, but I don't talk with him much anymore. Wonder what he'd think if he knew how many toys I had?
