Using vibrating cock rings on toys?

I own a realistic dildo, a non-vibrating one, so, 2 months ago I've decided that would be a brilliant idea to add some vibes to it. As the Diving Dolphin comes with two vibrating bullets (NOT one) I thought that would be a proper, powerful vibrating cock ring for my plan.
Actually, it did its job pretty good, I could feel the vibrations but I found them weak. I mean I was expecting to turn my dildo into a vibrator, by means of the vibrating ring, which didn't happened.
Personally, I think that it's a way out, I mean turning your dildo into a vibrator but if you're looking for some "real" vibes I would definitely suggest getting I vibrator.

I've used an usual (one bullet) vibrating cock ring, which was the Big O Ring.
The vibrating numbs felt great on my clit, however I found pretty hard to put it on.

In my experience, it's not so great for vibrating the toys themselves per se (at least not silicone. I had a partner who used a vibrating cock ring on his plastic toy, and he said it helped), but if you're using a dildo penetratively (whether manually, or strapped on), and you stick a vibrating cock ring on it, it will give the person on the receiving end the same sensations as if it was used on a flesh and blood penis.

I've thought about this too... my biggest concern is putting the various materials that vibrating cock rings are made of on my good silicone cocks. Sex toys should all be stored without touching each other, since various materials can degrade various other materials, and I'm just too attached to my silicone cocks to risk it. I might try it with a condom in-between someday, though...

I feel dumb; I'd never even thought of that! Because of material concerns, I think the best combo would probably be a glass dildo with a silicone/TPR cock ring.
