What is your top choice in a candle?

Contributor: Linga Linga
I've been lusting after the JimmyJane candle sampler for ages and now I'm wondering if they are the best to get. So I thought I would ask you all for your opinions.

The JimmyJane are the best IMO.

Seconded.

The sampler is fantastic as well, I got mine a super long time ago and the ones I burned regularly just got to their last leg.

You can figure out which scent you like the best I particularly liked the Truffle+Gardenia and the other flower-y one that I can't remember the name of.

If you are talking about for massage use, then they are my favorite. I also like them just for burning, but they don't last as long and are relatively expensive. My favorite scents are the lychee/lapsang and the truffle/gardenia. I prefer the special edition scents because they somehow seem fuller, more rounded with the two combined scents.

Pink Lotus? It's one of my favorites, too. But, My Man and I really love the Bourbon. I did buy the Truffle and Gardenia, the Bourbon and tried the Absinthe and Sugar Water in the larger size. YUM!

They tend to not last quite as long if you are using them for scenting the room and all around burning. Because of the cost, we usually only light them for as long as it takes to get enough wax for a massage or two and get a very even pool of wax without making a well. About 30-45 minutes. Then we blow it out.

I use the Absinthe and Sugar Water for regular burning, because My Man doesn't like the scent on his skin.

I agree, but I love burning them for the scent and I like having the illumination. They seem to generate just the right amount of light for intimate settings. That's why when burning just for scent, I now prefer the His candle by Illume. I cried when they were discontinued.

Yes, I want them for massage and would only be using them for oil. Like P'Gell said only long enough to get the oil.

I would love the absinthe and sugar water limited edition one. It sounds amazing.

What would be your favourites for just "burning" ?

Truffle and gardenia rocks my world. I'm picking up absinthe and sugar water this week. The hubby loves the way the oil makes my legs feel and smell.

I really want the absinthe one too. Because these are oil, do they leave a greasiness or are they more like a good moisturiser?

They are of course, oil, but they are also wax. I don't feel they are greasy, but we usually wipe off any that hasn't been absorbed with a clean cloth or cotton T Shirt after the massage. Here's my review and video on them. link

My only complaint is that they are a little heavy for the summer. My Man has turned down a few oil massages, but we've had temperatures in the 90 to 100+ range in the last month or so.

The Absinthe and Sugar Water is very lemony. More than I thought it would be.

We have and love the JimmyJane AfterGlow, and love them. We have had the chocolate one for over a year, and it just smells wonderful in the bedroom, even if we don't light it.

The JimmyJane candles are awesome! You should definitely try at least one. I really want to try a bwarm candle because I've never had one yet.
