It definitely depends on the ring. My husband has a very, very, very sensitive scrotum and certain rings put him in pain if used with cock and balls. For instance, some of the metal/steel rings on EF are just too small, even in their largest size, to be used behing the balls. Then there's the 4US Cock Ring which can easily be used because of the extra room it offers.

I honestly can't get any of the "over the balls" types to work on my husband.. he seriously has the largest balls I've ever seen (although his doctor says there's nothing "wrong", just really big balls! lol) and I can't get even the stretchy silicone ones to stretch enough to get them through, even with lube.

Rings that only go around the shaft do nothing for me. I like silicone and metal rings that goes behind the balls. They make me harder, a little bigger and last longer - my wife loves it.

It really depends on the ring - many will only fit around your cock and some are too big to fit only around it.

If I can get it behind my balls, that's where I want it to be and I'll at least try it there. Some rings just can't get there though but they usually aren't as effective around just the shaft.

I generally prefer the rings that go behind my balls. I have to agree with Gunsmoke on that. They make me harder, I last longer, and I have stronger orgasms. My lover really likes what they do for me too.

However, I do have a few rings for the shaft only. Sometimes I enjoy them too.

The 2" silicone ring is a sure thing. The stretch makes it easy to put on and it's very effective. Since I've gotten the hang of it, I bought the steel Omega link and absolutely love it.

If you're a little larger - try the 2-1/8" model.

Really depends on the sizing. Sometime's it is hard to gage by description. Usually it just ends up on the shaft.

However, I love it when the ring has two loops, so both shaft and scrotum have a ring around them.
