Cock rings — around the shaft, or around the shaft AND testicles?

Petite Valentine Petite Valentine
Hey folks, the husband and I could use some guidance. I've always thought that cock rings were exactly what their name implied: a ring for the cock. However my husband has heard that it's more pleasurable if the ring encompasses the testicles.

This sounds logistically impossible to me. The last time was tried a ring around just the shaft, he removed it once he was hard because he said it was cutting into him. Now we're meant to get a ring around his penis AND testicles?

To those who use cock rings, how do you place them?

Some are made strictly for just around the shaft, but others are made for the shaft and testicles. They have cock and ball devices listed under BDSM if you want to do a search.

Sounds like the c-ring you were using was too small. Measure before you buy!

And yeah, what unfulfilled said. Some are meant to go around the cock, some the cock and balls, and some can do both.

Any good Samaritans want to link some products (meant to go around both) for me?

There are two types of cock rings available. Some are made of stretchy material and typically have a bullet vibe associated with them such as these: link. Most have a ring mainly to secure the vibe, but some will also act as a cock ring. It depends on your partner's size, the size of the ring, and how stretchy the material is.

Other cock rings are specifically for improving erection and prolonging orgasm such as these: link. Again, size, material, and stretchiness all influence how you wear it and how effective it is. For a beginner, a cock ring made of a stretchy material or strap style would probably be best. As your partner becomes more comfortable, he can try wearing one made of a hard material such as steel. Note that most hard material cock rings are offered in different sizes, so be sure to measure carefully.

When wearing it around both the shaft and testicles, it's recommended to pass one testicle through at a time, and then the penis when it's flaccid. It's very hard if not impossible to put a cock ring on an erect penis, unless the material is very stretchy.

It looks like Tantus offers one made of their SuperSoft silicone: link. This should be a good option for beginners. Unfortunately, EF is not offering it yet.

My absolute favorite is my steel Omega link.

For starters I used a set of flexible silicone rings like this link.

There is a bit of a learning curve - and getting the sizing correct is vital. The old carpenter's adage is measure twice before cutting - in this case measure 2x before buying. I use 2" steel - but I could easily see that someone better endowed would need something larger - or vise versa.

Thank you Kindred. I'll share this info with my husband.

@Gunsmoke
The rings we tried were like the silicone rings you linked. Our package was supposed to be "one size" but my husband found them too tight. I'm willing to try again, but he can be gun-shy where toys and his junk are concerned.

ot: It should read "The last time we tried" above. Typos .

I'm partial to steel. I have the Omega 2 1/8" and it is amazing. Measure, measure, and measure some more. The Omega was my first around the cock and testicles ring, and I'm so glad I found a winner right off the bat. Your experience may differ. Silicone may be a better choice for beginners...but I'm loving the steel.

If he's too big or the ring isn't stretchy enough(or not the right size), it can get even more painful behind the testicles. Just saying.

I don't know what it feels like since I don't have a penis, but it's very attractive when it's around both cocks and balls.

It works better when around the balls too, in order to apply pressure to the perineum.

Only around the shaft. The type we own is not big enough to get the testicles too.

We've only used ones that go around the shaft. He doesn't want to try one that will go around the testicles too.

We only have one that he uses, it goes around both. STRAP It is a very tight fit and can be hard to put on until you figure out how.
