Is actually quite easy with just a little practice. Just place the ring against the scrotum and gently pull the skin through the ring, and push one ball through the ring. Once the first is through, pull additional skin through and the other ball should be able to be pushed through. Next bend the flaccid cock over and slid it through the ring. I must stress that the cock at this point is not erect, if so, you will probably not be able to use a rigid ring at this time. You might find the use of a lube or lotion will make this last step somewhat easier. Finally, push ring against the body to where it is comfortable,,,,and enjoy.

To remove, just reverse this process. I have found that if my cock is somewhat erect when removing ring, I can just pull some skin back through the ring and remove one ball, and the ring easily slides off the other ball and semi-erect cock.

All should go well as long as you make sure you are using the proper size ring. Too small and you will have problems putting it on, taking it off, or being uncomfortable to wear. Too big and it will not provide that snug (not tight) fit you want, nor will you receive any of the benefits of wearing a rigid ring.

depends on the style of cock ring. Some just go around the shaft, while others go around the entire base, both penis and balls. The latter one can be a bit tricky to get on sometimes, and you definitely have to be soft to get it on.

I wear two rings. The first is a 2" metal ring that I wear around my penis and scrotum. I put it on exactly like Checkmate describes.
The other,a 1.5" metal ring,I wear around my scrotum. The setup is like a three ring clock and ball cage.
I like metal rings because I enjoy the tight feel and the "cool" metal. I find elastic rings to be too tight.

Lube up first before you slip it on.
