Is the Hitachi really all that loud?

With reading the reviews on it it seems that it is pretty loud, however I have seen other reviews as to where there are other powerful wands out here that arent as loud but still have a lot of power to them. This is something that you're going to have to look around on and read the reviews as well before deciding to make a purchase.

I did get one and the first time I turned it on I thought, 'it is not that loud' I mean, it's not a toy for the dead of night if you have a roommate on the other side of a thin wall, but it's not the jackhammer or blender that people said it would be.
