I like the infrared just because I have it and it is awesome for actual massages. It is a great teaser and not the best for solo play but it's great for couples. Foreplay tool for real. It's great for sensual massages and awesome when you can flip it over and apply the relaxing infrared heat.

I think I'd choose the infrared for an actual body massager. I'm usually a little chilly, and something warming usually does me good.

That said, I have a Fairy Mini, and I think my boyfriend gets even more use out of it than I do! It suits his shoulders just right.

I find the vibrations are way too strong for me when it comes to the Hitachi and Wahl massagers. They make me sick to my stomach and my eyes vibrate...not such a fun experience for a massage.

I really like California Exotics 10-function Transcend massager. It's waterproof and comes in two different colors and the patterns are perfect for massages. It doesn't make your hand numb either and it's really easy to hold.

I have one called a BodyWand which looks just like the Hitachi. I would say for sure the Hitachi (Though I like mine - not sure where you can get one except on-line and the Hitachi is probably a little better quality...) Hitachi. It's pretty strong and might be overwhelming at first but it's a good sturdy massager.

Nothing beats the Magic Wand in ability to make me orgasm quickly. If its too overpowering, try an extension cord with a light dimmer built in. It will let you dial it in to where you need to be for the big O.

Hitachi has been around forever, so most prefer it. The fairy has two big features: the variable speed control built in and the color. Not a big fan of the name "fairy".
