I never used to, but now I have so many toys that I can't keep the batteries in a few or I won't have batteries for other toys. So I've gotten in the habit of taking them out AND charging them. Too many times I had half dead batteries and got frustrated because I couldn't get off.
Yes, I do. However, I have a few toys that are in high rotation that I leave the batteries in. So I guess I should have voted "sometimes" instead of "always."
Not only am I too lazy to take the batteries out, My Man would never find them, and we like to be able to grab what toys we want in a second!
I know the batteries may last longer, but I don't want batteries all over the bottom of my bags, and waiting for him to try to find the right way to put them in, when I'm...eh ehm....in a compromising and very......insistent frame of body and mind. ("DO IT, OH GOD, JUST DO IT!!!" No, I have no patience, when I want that toy, I want it when I desire it.)
I've only just started using toys..maybe two months ago. Since then, I've never taken out the batts..Mostly because when I wanna play, it's too much of a hassle to put the batts back IN!
Out of the few toys I now own, there is one that takes four AA's, and it's a real PITA to put them in..the case doesn't always close up right, and it's hard to sit the battery tips on the coils..It would simply be too much.
That said, I know that one ideally SHOULD remove the batteries every time a toy has been used (guiltily looking around...)!
I take them out of the toys that we don't use that often. I also take them out of certain toys that I have that will drain batteries even when they're not on. The ones I use frequently I leave in.
I primarily use rechargeable toys as my most frequently used toys so I try to take the batteries out of all my non rechargeables so they last longer. I've had batteries corrode inside toys and ruin them and I hate to have that happen to something I really like and just don't use often.
90% of the time. Some of my toys are hard to insert the batteries and if I want to use them in the moment would be a bitch to struggle with, but for the most part, I take them out. I would have like hundreds of batteries if all my toys had them in 24/7!
When I just had a very few vibes, I left the batteries in until the batteries died. As my collection has grown, I take the batteries out as I simply don't have enough batteries to keep all my vibes on the ready and the batteries will give out and damage the vibes anyway.
I try to buy rechargeable toys for this reason, though. I find that constantly buying batteries is wasteful, plus loading/unloading puts wear on the contacts, plus monitoring if they are in the toy too long or not is a pain. I'm at the point where spending the extra money is just a smart investment.
The first time I bought toys I spent about $70. I left the toys together and left the batteries in all 3 vibrators. One day I was getting ready to use one my favorite toys, and found out the batteries exploded all over! So, to be on the safe side I threw them away and now have to start over.
I try to - I've had one where the batteries leaked and another that got switched on in storage, so the batteries died. Dead batteries don't sound like much, but if they're an unusual size they can be an inconvenience.
