My sister, out of the blue today, IMed me. Which is only weird because we're one of those families that rarely talk to each other. For some bizarre reason, I started rambling to her about the review I was working on. And she blurted out, "I need a sex toy!"

I actually suggest her trying 2 things - a dildo and a clit vibe. Just so she can get the hang of different types of stimulation.

I totally love the Petite Couture line by Cal Exotics. They are soft and you can feel the vibrations. Plus they aren't as pricey as some others (on sale right now).

As always Victoria is on target - but I would add that it's hard to go wrong with a rabbit vibe like the Decadent Indulgence (DI) for dual stimulation link - there's a gazilion to choose from - but I will say that after trying dozens the original DI is still my wife's favorite.

I agree with getting a dildo and a separate clit vibe. I think having the two separate parts guarantees she can get the kind of stimulation she likes rather than hoping a dual stimulator like a rabbit fits her anatomy just so.

If you're looking to keep it under $20 and give her options, the My Mini-Miracle has a wide range of speeds, is waterproof, and runs on AA's, which are easy to find. Don't bother with the attachments, but the toy itself is good. Aside from the "CalExotics" label, it's pretty discrete, too. Put a sticker or something over that, and it's a travel massager.

The Pocket Exotic glow double bullet is a very inexpensive old standby. I've had mine for 2 years, use it on a regular basis, and it's still going strong. This thing will not die. The downside is that while it's not loud, it's not silent either (hear it across the room, but not through a door); it's also not waterproof. However, for figuring out if she likes bullets, it's a good solid choice.

I second this. They've got several vibration levels along with that soft silicone J's Alley mentioned, and I find that the Silhouette works wonders as both a clit vibe and an internal.

Your sister has probably heard great reviews of the rabbit and if she is ready for a rabbit, I say get a hoppin on that!

However I know that when I first got a sex toy I was extremely curious about all the different types and I really enjoyed looking at all of them and reading what different ones did.

I would also consider finding something semi more discrete considering you mentioned she has a child. Children are pretty sneaky about looking for things to do when bored and you never know if they will open the night stand drawer!
