I am looking to get my friend her first insertable vibrator. I don't want it to be too expensive in case she doesn't like it much. She's had bullets in the past, but even though she has had sex, she is scared of any insertable vibes with a g-spoting hook, which is the only one she owns. I want to get her a non threatening traditional vibe so that she feels more comfortable with it.

Which vibrator would be best for a first time user who is weary of insertable vibrators?

When I first started looking at vibrators I was really intimidated by the dimensions of everything I looked at. I bought the black magic vibrator as my first vibrator because it is slimmer than most other vibrators and because of the price so it wouldn't be a huge loss if I didn't like it. It is very non-threatening it was and even though it is slimmer and the vibrations are less intense - it was perfect for me as beginner to just get comfortable using a vibrator before moving on to bigger and better toys.

B-good, but all look good. Also, I was looking at the bottle rockets by evolved today as my sister's 1st toy and I thought the purple and the pink. Can't remember the names, one was apollo. But they looked absolutely amazing! Perfect for both beginners and advanced. I'd look into those as well. I've never used them, but they really stuck out to me for a first toy.

I've heard that plastic isn't the best choice for a beginner - how about something like the Liberte 2 instead?

I'd go with the iconic smoothie because it seems to have a decent range in strength which I think is important for first time users to experiment with.
While my first toy was plastic most of the ones that came after were silicone and I quickly found I liked silicon better so the Liberte 2 might be a good choice.

I got a friend the Seduction Holiday Edition by Evolved. It's really nice because it comes with a tin for storage and a pretty red bow that's perfect for a gift. I know it's for the Holidays but outside of the bow being red, there's nothing else Christmas about it so it just looks like a gift.
