I'm going out of the country--China to be exact--in a few weeks for a two+ month long study abroad.

It's gotten my curious, because I'd still like to explore a bit with sex toys while I'm there. I'll take my vibes with me, but does anyone know of any good and safe brands of Chinese sex toys? I'm at a bit of a loss and am going to do some searching online but I just wanted to toss the question out there.


PS: I'm also checking if EF is accessible through the Great Firewall of China.

So, the good news is: You can get more than just Chinese brands of sex toys in China. I've only been to one sex store in China, but it had a bunch of Cal Exotics and LELO products, as well as maybe a handful of other miscellaneous brands. I actually don't know of many "established" Chinese brands, but Nomi Tang (company behind the Better Than Chocolate vibe) is based in Hong Kong.

I was in China last year and could totally access EF, but they tend to change their minds a lot about stuff like that (the firewalls, I mean). You're more likely to get Facebook blocked

Oooh...hmm that should be very interesting, I'll have to check it out! Thanks for your info! I'll definitely report back if I find any Chinese brands.

I found this post rather late, otherwise I might have given you a suggestion for great adult boutiques in Beijing. The market for adult toys in China is generally behind "western" countries, but it is developing quickly.
There is a growing number of excellent stores in China that carry a large range of (genuine!) foreign premium brands, such as We-Vibe, Fun Factory, Lelo, Je Joue, Sliquid, Nomi Tang... you name them. They are rather difficult to find though because their websites are in Chinese. Feel free to contact me at nomi@nomitang.com if you need help in finding a store near you when in China.
