Well, you could try going to the vibrators section and setting the advanced search to smaller size products. I'd suggest something versatile since you're just starting out and want to experiment. You might be more likely to try penetration if you're already in the middle of using the toy for clitoral stimulation.

My favorite clitoral vibrator is the iVibe. It's a fantastic vibrator and really pleasurable to use. This is made by Doc Johnson, and its a great little toy to have around the house.

As for a insertable, waterproof vibrator, I suggest the Black Magic Vibrator from Doc Johnson. Its not very expensive, so if you don't like it you won't be out of a considerable amount of money.

I think an extended bullet vibe may be a nice starting point... the Faith discreet massager works as a clit vibe, but also has an insertable length of 3". It could be a fun teaser that'll prep you for other toys and deeper penetration later on. It's full circumference is only 1" around, so it's a good starting place for first time insertion, similar to the vegetables and big markers that are suggested for penetration newbies.
