So, I just got my order, and the package was partly open, and the product has a slimy-ish sheen; I've never ordered jelly products before, is this standard/typical presentation? I assume the box was popped open because the shipping box wasn't long enough for the actual package, but I wanted to see if anyone else had this issue?

The jelly products do have that sheen to them. I wouldn't be too worried about the package, I've received a few that have popped open. I used to work for USPS and they are rough on packages.
