We don't have the Hitachi - but we do have the Mystic Wand. My wife loves it and it has enough power for her (and she tends to need a lot). But was Sex Positivity mentioned - there probably isn't any battery powered vibe that can compete with electric power from a wall-cord device like Hitachi.

I have both, and will say that it's definitely not as strong as the Hitachi on high. I normally use the Hitachi on low, and while the Mystic Wand on high still isn't quite as powerful, it's pretty close--if it makes any sense, the difference to me is more the type of vibration than the intensity. The Hitachi just feels "deeper" to me--the fact that the head is much larger probably helps. The Mystic Wand is still stronger than the vast majority of clitoral vibes, though, so most women shouldn't have any trouble orgasming with it. I mean, it works for me, and I don't exactly have the most sensitive clit in the world...

One other thing I forgot to mention: the neck of the Mystic Wand is MUCH more flexible than the neck of the Hitachi. I know that for a lot of people this isn't important, but I like to be able to press my hips up into a vibrator, so if you're like me, you should know that it's harder to get pressure with the Mystic Wand unless you hold the head in place with a finger or two. I still really like it, but it's more something that I use during partner sex because the size/lack of cord is convenient--the Hitachi is more effortless.
