Mimi skin puckering issues?

Contributor: Miss Anonymous Miss Anonymous
I've been thinking about ordering another Mimi the newer one. I've come across a couple of reviews that say something about the skin puckering. What does that really mean? Is it a HUGE problem? Should I skip it?

Also, what is the huge difference between the new Mimi and the old one? Is it just because it has a third button for just patterns? Is that the only difference?

The patterns button is the big thing, plus it's supposedly got a better adhesive to prevent the bubbling problem that the old one had. From what I've heard, fixing the issue with the silicone bubbling up has been a work in progress.

I own two Mimi's and I use them alot. I've never had that problem before, so when I read about the bubbling. I thought it was the new Mimi that was doing this.

I'm still thinking about getting the new one. I didn't know EF even had the new one until I seen a review pop up about it. I would have thought they would have made a new product page for it.

Apparently the bubbling was hit-or-miss. Some people had it happen, others did not, but it was one of the complaints I saw most often regarding the Mimi. I'm waiting to see if the issue has truly been solved before I get one for myself.

And I agree that it's strange how they shifted the old design to a new page and let the new design have the old one (and all of the old reviews, apparently, which is bound to cause confusion at some point).

I have the new one and have had it for a week. So far no issues with that. Everything seems fine.

Does the bubbling make the toy unusable? I've read a lot on the bubbling or puckering and what may cause it, and I assume you shouldn't use it if this happens but there's a difference between shouldn't use it and can't
