Just play around with it until you find what you like. Don't be afraid to experiment. Make a time for yourself where you'll be alone in the house without interruption or distraction and just take some time to explore with it.

I would suggest playing around with different angles and positions. I don't know why, but it took me a couple years to decide I didn't have to use my toys flat on my back. If there are positions you enjoy with a partner, simulate them with the toy. I've found that different positions change the experience profoundly, and I switch it up depending on mood. Another thing is the angle. If you are aiming to hit your g-spot just tilt the base of the toy towards your back to force the tip forward more. Depending on what kinda of stimulation and experience you are going for, a simple change of angle can be very effective. You don't need to just do in and out thrusting either. Try twisting the vibrator gentle from side to side, wiggling it, and experiment with deeper and shallower thrusts to find what works best for you.

My reply would be pretty much the same as Miss Jane. Just experiment. Different angles, different body positions. On your back, on your stomach with the toy on a pillow so you can rub against it. If you haven't already, get yourself some decent lube. It will make all the sensations that much better if things are nice and slippery before you start.
Most of all, have fun....but beware buying toys can be very addicting.....
