Why not to use Rechargeable Batteries

Contributor: CaseyDeuce CaseyDeuce
In a few threads recently, I've noticed people who have wanted to use rechargeable batteries, or have wanted EF to carry rechargeables. I've mentioned that I heard these are no good for toys, but here's why...

It's the voltage! A rechargeable is only 1.2v vs 1.5v for alkaline batteries. This means your toy won't run up to its maximum potential while using rechargeable batteries for it.

I hope this helps!

Neat info, thank you!

Since I don't usually need UNLIMITED POWER they might still be a good option for me, but if anyone wants to use them and write a review, they should definitely make that clear so strong toys don't get weak reputations!
