I need help finding a super quiet vibrator. I live with 2 roommates and my bedroom is practically attached to theirs. I can hear them cough in the middle of the night, that's how thin the walls are. I have no problem with them knowing what I'm doing, I just don't want to make them uncomfortable!

As far as oomph VS discretion, the quietest I have found that hasn't had to sacrifice power is my Birthstones! It's an awesome toy!

This one is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I can barely hear it through my comforter when it's maxed out. And it's pretty powerful at that point- not earthshaking, but above average. It's a little girthier than some, so be sure to read up on it if that's an issue, but it's worth checking out.
(You'd probably be wise to avoid the rabbit/dual stimulation Evolved vibes. It's a bummer as they make some very nice ones and they're on sale, but the dual stim ones tend to rattle.)

I live in dorms with paper this walls- I can hear the neighbor's cell phone vibrate- and the Wahl is quiet enough to use without being heard through walls and doors. Although I have quite a collection, this is my most frequently used vibrator because it is strong, reliable, and whisper quiet. Good luck!
