Smart Balls can go in the ass, apparently

I seriously would advise against it. If the first ball goes in, the second one probably would go in as well. There are a lot of anal toys that lack a good base to make them butt safe, and it is a shame really. I always advise against using toys anally unless they have a good sized flange base. A smooth ball shape is not going to stop a toy from getting sucked inside. I don't own a set of anal beads yet because of this...I just don't feel most of them are safe.

The material is another concern with the smart balls. The Elastomed is non porous, but not technically sterilizable. Fun Factory advises against boiling them even.

Bottom line is that these are intended and designed for vaginal use only.

I would not trust these at all. I learn the hard way (twice) if it can go in the ass it well. With a tiny string like that...ummm no bad times. Those might get stuck, also you don't want to risk with a material not made for anal. It might be ok, but I wouldn't risk it.

I didn't think of it like that -- just one ball in the ass -- but I still think it's not cool. The balls aren't that big. Just bothered me that that was in the product description.

I'd like to clarify that my post was not asking if these are safe anally, as I KNOW they are not. just pointing out that that really shouldn't be in the product description.
