So I was looking at getting this toy and was reading some reviews about it. I read one that said use with a condom can be a bit risky. I was wondering if this was true and if anyone has any experiences one way or another.
Hmm. I find it odd that they said that as it has a 10 safety rating and is made of silicone. I'd be interested to know why too (unless they're talking about sharing the toy).
Maybe they meant that using a condom on it along with a condom on your partner can cause the condoms to break? Perhaps you could send a message to the reviewer.
It could be 1) they are nervous that the silicone might react to the silicone lubricant that is often used with lubricated condoms, or 2) it will add a significant amount of friction as the condom rubs against it, making it more likely to break. I would ask the reviewer in a comment.
We've used the We-Vibe II with a condom several times and found no problems. I am now going to do some research in regards to it reacting with silicone lubricant though.

My guy and I didn't have any trouble with the wevibe3 and condom use. May want to use lube and play it safe and slow the first time you use with condoms just to test the waters.

I haven't used it with one so I guess my comment may be useless but I can see that being a strong possibility. But with some good lube I bet there would be no problem
I'm glad someone else asked this. I would also like a clearer answer about using this with a condom. I just emailed Lifestyles about their Skyn condom to see what kind of lube is pre-applied, so that I won't have to worry about a silicone-on-silicone reaction.
I would recommend a condom that does not come pre-lubed, combined with a healthy dose of water based lubricant. That should eliminate any potential problems as far as the condom catching and tearing, or the condom's lube melting the toy.
Perhaps they meant that the friction from the toy along with the use of a condom led the condom to break or tear, or as others have said, the use of a condom coated in a silicone lubricant.
