What do you think of replaceable motors?

I'm curious what your thoughts are on vibrators with replaceable motors, such as in link Jimmyjane's Little Chroma. Do you think having replaceable motors actually prolongs the lifespan of a toy? What if the surface gets scratched up during use?

Do you think the replaceable motor justifies the expensive price tag? Would you consider buying toys with these motors or look for toys specifically with replaceable motors?

In CarrieAnne's video, she said to replace the motor is about 25USD. That shocked me. Is that really the price for a luxury motor? That means the rest of the toys cost all that??? Kind of backwards to the way I thought it was.

To be fair though, that motor was designed to be replaced easily so I wouldn't necessarily call it itself a luxury motor. I think most of the cost came from the aluminum and being molded.
