What material/texture do you recommend?

Silicone. I prefer them with textured veins to provide added stimulation.

I, too, would recommend silicone, as it's one of the safest materials out there.

Texture kind of depends on the individual user, though. For instance, Kindled Fuego has mentioned that she prefers veins. I, on the other hand, prefer my toys to be as smooth as possible.
