What's your toy storage situation like?

Contributor: sunflower sunflower
Did you buy a special toybox or do you have your own solution? What would your ideal storage be like?

I'm asking out of curiosity and for ideas.

im sorta crafty so i went to Ac Moore and got a box. i also got fabric a lock and some paint. i can post a picture for you later if you like. its in storage right now, i only keep older toys in there, or ones i don't use often. i was having trouble finding one i liked that was premade so i made my own. for toys i use often though i use a lockable makeup case. not perfect, but it serves its purpose.

I have an open, sliding drawer under my bed for the "Class A" toys. Most of the others are in an Eden Tote and some, like Icicles, are in their box under the bed.

I'd love to see a picture! Doing a DIY storage container sounds right up my alley so I'd love to see what you came up with.

I use the top drawer in my nightstand, but to keep things "clean ad organized" I bought a plastic drawer organizer from staples. That way it's east to clean when a lube leaks or something.

The plastic organizer is a really smart idea.

I kind of want something lockable despite living alone. I guess I'm paranoid about nosy guests.
I was looking at the Devine Playchest here and thought "that is way overpriced." Sure enough, you can literally buy a fireproof safe of similar size for half the price... How's that for secure?

my wife is scared by our toy storage. it is in 3 different places. it would be nice to consolidate to 1 locked location. right now, 2 of the spots for frequently used toys are for convenience. they are easy to get to in a hurry but certainly not well hidden or secure.

Just a drawer in my dresser. Though I need to get something to put everything in.

I just have a small separate closet filled with toys. No need to hide them since my partner and I live alone and won't ever have to worry about children nosing about. No one under 18 is allowed in our apartment as per our rules, gotta protect our snake and expensive items from destructive children/teens.

My ideal storage would be a huge cabinet in the bedroom or living room.

I have a Devine corset toybox that has little toys in it. I have lockable sex toy case but I have makeup from here in there. I have 2 of the Devine playchest as well. Then I have a couple I keep in my dresser for easy reach.

The ones that get used the most are in a very large locking DVD cabinet. The rest are hanging in the closet/in tubs/in other places.

I have three storage toy boxes, all of which are fairly small. I could use something a little larger, really.

I use a couple of different methods. We use the drawer next to the bed for things that we will be using or use alot. Then I have the top shelf in my closet for larger items, like out liberator shapes. I also put stuff in my gun safe, stuff that I dont want the kids seeing.

If I had room for this, I would LOVE that. I mean it's fitting. They are tools in a sense, right?

I keep mine in their original boxes in a box in my closet. It would be nice to find something big enough for them that locks, though.

ToytimeTim made a DIY wooden toy box I don't know if you've ever saw it so I'll leave it here-

I'm not too crafty but I might make ones of those one day, right now I just have a small safe/lock box thing and I'm going to have to upgrade soon, both because it's too small and also because I got my friend to break into it because I didn't have my keys lol

I use an old metal cookie tin for most of my toys, and a fabric pocket hanging from my bed (a piece of fabric stuffed between the mattress and box spring holds it in place) that holds my favorites.

I make fabric pouches for all my silicone toys, but I'd love something a little more elegant.

I use makeup storage bags and containers to organize mine, then they are stored inside a dresser drawer.
