What would you do if the contents of your package were visible or written on the box?

So basically everyone from the shipping point to the destination knew what was inside, in addition to whoever received the package (neighbor, parent, kid, sibling, etc.). What would you do? what would your reaction be?

Hey, would you mind submitting a support ticket or giving us a call so we can chat more about what happened? Writing out contents is definitely NOT something we do, but I would love to get a little more info on your situation!

Panic attack. Cry. Feign confusion. More panicking.

I live in a very conservative college campus. I'm pretty sure the nuns would haul me off and lock me in the chapel for three weeks.

I'd think someone was playing a cruel joke and I can't imagine anyone from EF doing such a thing. Privacy is key here. I assume this is hypothetical and not something that actually happened.

I thought maybe the original poster was asking a hypothetical question.

Honestly, I don't care all that much. People should mind their own business and keep their judgments to themselves. I am no ashamed of anything I do.

I really would not care but some would. I would like to know though if this is hypothetical.

I couldn't give less of a damn what the shipping department thought. Or anyone else along the way. They probably see crazy stuff getting sent everywhere all the time, and it's not their business what people do or don't order.

Now, if my dad checked for the mail first and found it, that would probably be somewhat more embarrassing, though I don't think he'd condemn me for it. Most likely scenario: a long talk and him knowing a lot more about me than he ever wanted to. Though if he displayed interest in getting some toys for himself, I'd be happy to help. I don't think the chap's seen any action, even solo, for years now.

When it comes right down to it, I'm an adult and what I do in my bedroom is nobody's business. So long as I can always remind myself of that, I'll continue to enjoy my toys.

I have noticed that any time I order toys, there's a UPS sticker that says TOYS-5168 or something. I don't know what that means exactly, but it kinda made me laugh the first time I noticed it. I'm guessing it either applies to any type of toy/novelty or my UPS guy deserves an Oscar for being so neutral about bringing packages every other day lately.

But, no... I haven't had any problems whatsoever with Eden packages & I've gotten like 6 now. I'm guessing that was a hypothetical question from the OP? Anyway, I wouldn't care much, personally, but people certainly have a right to privacy. So, I'd definitely get in touch with the company & see what was up.

Vaguely funny story. My mailbox is exactly the size of a small UPS overnight box. When the postal guy opens it from the back he can get things in, but I can't extract them from the front without squishing them due to the door. So of course, first time I ordered toys I ran into this problem & there was no room for squishing. Had to take the package halfway apart to get it out. And it was really windy. And people kept passing by. And everything kept trying to drop on the sidewalk. I was kinda traumatized at the time. (Now I'm so over it, I'd just be dropping everything in a pile & waving to the neighbors. Haha.)

I wouldn't really care, honestly. I'm an adult, the only person living with me is my partner, and if I got shit from the post office I wouldn't hesitate to report the offenders to their manager.

As for neighbors etc, my attitude is that if you pry into my business, you deserve what you get. I have no obligation to keep my life PG rated just because someone might decide to be nosy.

If you are talking about a package from Eden, the only reason for the contents to be written on the box would be if you live outside of the United States. In that case, it simply says "Massage Apparatus" and is absolutely required in order for the package to legally cross any border so there isn't anything you can do about it.

If you got a package from elsewhere that did this and live in the US, then I can't comment there. I personally wouldn't mind because it wouldn't make a difference one way or the other for me.

I'm not sure. it depends on how blatantly it was, how it was delivered, and who received it first. If it's just me and the mail man, I don't really care if he knows, though I would be skeptical about what may have happened to the box en route, especially considering that recent even where the TSA person left the girl an inappropriate message about her vibe.

I'm in an apartment, so if it went to the main office it would probably be a lot more awkward. Especially since the girlfriend of a family member works in there. It's not that I'd be embarrassed, I just don't really have that sort of open relationship with them atm and don't particularly care to start! Let's please not discuss this at Thanksgiving...

Meh, I don't care. I often get toys from the States (I'm in Canada), and I've had boxes opened for inspection. In those cases, all I'm concerned about is that everything is there. I'm not very prudish.

As a heads up, the shipping instruction field that is present for you to fill out during the ordering process is printed on the box. It's there for you to put specific instructions for the delivery driver, like "leave it on the porch or behind the roses." If you happen to write instructions to us, or something about the products in that field, it will end up printed on the label. An easy mistake to make, but that's what happened in this particular instance. So for special instructions to US, a ticket or phone call is best!

Actually was not hypothetical. As Jaimes said, I accidentally wrote instructions if an item was out of stock, it said it was out of stock but still instock in my cart and just wanted to be sure, and it ended up on the outside of the box and it was obvious what was inside. It was my fault, I was just curious what other people would do if it happened to them. I was embarrassed heavily but I'm over it now

I wouldn't care. In fact, I would probably laugh at the delivery person who gave me "that look".

I am open about my toys/sex life/etc. If someone has a problem with it, that's their problem. haha

If all the contents had to be written on the box and that was the only way I was able to receive my items, I'd deal with that. I'm not that concerned about people knowing when it comes to my toys.

I personally wouldn't care so much since I don't have kids in the house and I don't really care what the mailman thinks of me. However, if it ended up at my neighbors on accident or something I would be embarassed!

I don't really care. What I do is my own business and people would do well to mind theirs. It could come with "sex toy" ablaze along the side and I would have no shame. I have piles of boxes of things on my kitchen table waiting for review I'm sure my neighbors can see. I think it's kinda funny. They're probably more embarrassed than me.

I do have a son but he's too little to know what things are. When he gets older I hope that sex is an open topic and not something to be ashamed of or hidden so I don't think I honestly mind if he knew either. Again, I think it will probably bug him more than me!

I have no shame, I guess. Maybe I need to work on that. Hm.

Oh that sucks! I'm always curious to know actually how many people get to see my package by the time it reaches me in Canada, and how many of them know about Eden. I can't tell if the delivery people know, but they seem pretty busy with what they do.
