Has anybody ever considered buying sex aids for a parent / family member?

My mother has been separated from my father for almost 10 years, has not been in any sort of dating relationship to date, and has no real desire to find one. She has never owned a vibrator or sexual aid of any type that I know of. I had once asked her if she would like one as a gift and she told me that she didn't think there was a point. She laughed and told me that she was too old to be concerned with sex of any kind. She has a lot of stress in her life, and virtually no stress relievers. I know this is not something she would ever do herself, and is probably embarrassed even discussing with me.

I am curious has anybody else ever purchased a sex toy for a parent or family member? Would you? less
