Do you see a difference between an older man dating a younger woman and an older woman dating a younger man?

I don't see a difference

In my experience, if the man is significantly older and the woman is very very young still, there's a greater chance that there's some skeevy manipulation going on. Obviously this isn't true in all cases but I do believe the power dynamic is different.

Yes, it's different, but different doesn't mean one is more acceptable than the other. It's less common to see older women and younger men together, so we of course notice it.

As someone who dates older men, I wish people would be less judgmental of age differences in couples. Every individual is different, and every couple is different. HUGE age differences (like, Anna Nicole Smith marrying that ancient rich guy) makes one pause and think, "hmmm..." but it's still no one else's business.

I never thought it would happen - but I married a girl 11 years younger than me! She's pleased enough - after 23+ years. But there are challenges as I try to maintain my performance in the face of declining physical abilities.

It depends on the individual couple and their relative maturity levels. The big "ick factor" for me is when there is an apparent abuse of power.

I guess they should both be the same. But for some reason, to me, an older man and younger woman seems more normal.
