I have run across older folks who say "I've never used a vibrator and would never". I have run across young married folks that say "we don't need sex toys", and yet from looking at this site, it appears that "toys" have an appeal at ALL age groups. However, just the fact someone is HERE, at EF says they probably enjoy adult toys in their love life......SO....while the results may be skewed away from the general (non EF) population, my question is, "Is there any difference in interest between you or your partner in using or not using toys during romantic play, and if so, do you think AGE has anything to do with it"?

I think it depends on what each person is in to that would effect if they like to use toys/what kind of toys they like to use. I am 20 and my girl is 21 so we are both pretty young and we love to use toys, we are also into light bondage and some S/M so toys help us with the bondage, teasing, punishing, and pleasing.

My guy is 11 years older, and he's not very interested in toys. I don't think it has anything to do with age, though... It's just part of his personality.

I was actually "anti-toy" until 4 or 5 years ago. I thought all I needed was "skin." Don't know why I thought that way, other people using toys never bothered me, they just never appealed to me.
My Man bought me our first sex toy (a phallic vibrator) when I started having trouble with orgasm, due to early peri-menopause (NO, I am NOT "in menopause" but my hormones are screwed up and effecting menses, hot flashes, mood swing, orgasm, night sweats etc) I threw it at him, called him a few choice words and went into the other room to cry.
He tried to explain that he thought I wanted one, and we really were not communicating well at this point. We talked about it, and I STILL didn't want it. I actually asked him to return it. He said, "Babe, they don't let you do that." (He bought it at the porn store.)
A week or so later, we were having sex and I was having a difficult time coming. I finally said, "Grab that stupid thing and see what happens." It worked! My fears about sex toys disappeared.
Since then he has said, "I created a monster." LOL!

If anything I think it has more do with a person's background than age. If you come from a rather sexually conservative background, toys most likely seem outlandish. (I am of course speaking very generally). I mean most parents don't include toys with their usual sex talk.

I think a lot of it has to do with knowledge and personal preference rather than age. People that may have been curious about toys, but embarrassed to go into a sex toy store can now order them on-line.
