You don't have a 'No' option.
My wife is 25 years older than I am. her kids are older than me. she's younger than my parents.
no one cares! we are two responsible adults who are ridiculously compatible and work so well together. we'd be silly if we let age be a deciding factor in our relationship.

Depends on who you both are as people. It depends on your personalities and priorities. If you really like each other, give it a shot!

No it's not to old. If he treats you & your kids right, that's what matters.

I think he's at a perfect age, over that mid-life crisis deal. He should be pretty much settled down, not wanting to go out & party with his friends on the weekends. He should have has home, career all lined up. You are at a good age to start thinking long term .. in terms of your life & kids. My hubby is nine yrs older than me, I too have 3 kids and was 26 when I met him. This man can teach you new things, and you should be able to keep up with him sexually. I say GO FOR IT!

Big Factor is how well your kids, him (& his kids all get along) that part won't be easy...again I say GO FOR IT!

Of course not, age is only a number. I would have voted but the no factor was left out.

Why isn't there a 'NO' option because I'd pick that.

I can only see the age gap being a problem if it unbalances the relationship. Numbers don't really mean very much.

It all depends on the chemistry. 15 years is a long time.

I don't think the age difference is too old, whatever works for you go with it.

42yrs old is nothing, now if he was 50ish then I would seriously think about it...

I think age should matter less than really important things like how he treats you, your children, etc... If his age makes you uncomfortable then that could be an issue as well.

It's more complicated than just age. Compatibility still plays a large part, especially since you're both adults (as opposed to, if this situation was a 20 year old person and 34 -- same age difference, but possibly greater chance for problems since 20 is a transition age).

With your situation I would say he's 'not necessarily too old'. But it depends on both of you and how your relationship work / doesn't. Sorry that I don't really have any help.
