What to do when you have your period...

Put down a towel and have sex, or water sex.

I usually feel too gross and cranky to want to have sex at all. I usually spend my period week giving myself a manicure and eating chocolates. lol. I'm on birth control so my period is so light it's barely there at all, so if I want to have sex we just do it.

For me, the first day is too painful and bloaty to care. The second day, I want what I want when I want it. We used to just put down a towel for that time, but have since gotten one of the Liberator Throes and that does a good job of keeping any mess to a minimum. Neither of us care about a little blood, and a nice sensual shower to clean up after feels wonderful.

We use old maroon or red towels (some people use black ones) and place over either an old maroon king sized sheet, folded or a Libertor Throe.

Then we go at it and then shower. There's usually one day during my period that I feel too sick to have sex, but if he can get to me before the cramps start and I have an orgasm, we often offset most of the pain. He also, oddly, knows how to treat a migraine with sex. The Man is amazing, I tell ya.

As long as it feels good for you, and your partner isn't squeamish about blood, then have sex! But yeah, towels are generally a good idea.
For me, I get swollen inside and any kind of penetration feels awful. But a few days into my period, vibrations are a lot of fun. And towards the end of my period, as long as I'm not feeling swollen, we totally don't care whether I'm bleeding or not.
