Delayed gratification.

From a female point of view, Dr. Dick's column is a fascinating look at the male masturbatory process.

I am wondering if any of the men out there have used the techniques he described and do you find they work to improve performance or pleasure (what ever your goal may be)? Do you have other techniques you've used to achieve the same result?

I am going out on a limb here and making a few assumptions... I would guess that when guys first discover masturbation, they probably try a number of different things because they don't know what the hell they are doing. But, then after 10-20 years go by, guys are probably pretty set in a very specific routine.

What I took away from this article was not necessarily delaying the gratification, but experimenting with new sensations. I would imagine that by focusing on the feelings and sensations, and not just on getting off, lasting longer would automatically happen as a by-product.

Laurel, I don't have any input for your question, but thanks for sharing I enjoyed the read.

I haven't tried all those techniques but I have tried kegel exercise and yes it improves pleasure massively. Not only does it make orgasm more intense but it can also prevent ejaculation, while still allowing orgasm, no refractory period no loss of erection. Awesome in it of it self but these orgasm are also very intense pull off this non-ejaculatory orgasm trick more then once in the same session and each orgasm is more and more intense till I finally have to have the ejaculatory orgasm finisher.
