I've only had intercourse with my husband so one for me. Is there a number on too few or too many...well I'd say it was all in what you are comfortable with yourself because you are the only one that has to live with your choices - anyone else can hit the road if it's a problem. I would probably like to be more experienced then I am but I love that I have only shared myself with my soul mate and I am content with that. Besides he's had enough for both of us lol

I am not sure how we are counting "sexual partner"? I normally go by sexual intercourse- which my number is 6. I feel like that is high for me, at my age, but I guess it's not too terrible.
If I added oral sex into the mix, it would only go up by 1, but that was not a consensual situation so I don't think it should count anyway.

Popping in just to answer one question (other than the poll): Yes, I am ashamed of my number. It's not very high (10-12 over the past almost 10 years), but there are quite a few I wish I could knock off that list. Especially all of the ones from when I was a young, stupid teen. But I'm not ashamed by the number, just by the situations some of them came from. And I haven't had sex in 1 1/2 years, so am I revirginized yet?

I'm 25 and have had only 1 sexual partner so far. So if you think your number is low, mine must be insane. But I'm not ashamed of it. (A little shy and embarrassed perhaps since I'm now back on the dating scene all of a sudden, but not ashamed.)

I don't think that number should matter to a man because that is in the past. I know that I have had my share of guys in the past but most people have a wold phase so I think that it all depends on the person.
