I have noticed that on many polls the stats are way off. In this poll, at first glance, it would appear that a greater percentage of women masturbate daily. However, if you look only at the numbers and then do the stats it works out closer to this:
women who masturbate daily: 35%
men who masturbate daily: 60%
I just did these figures quickly in my head, so they will be off, but the stats in the poll are way off. This happens because many more women than men participate in these polls and discussions. It would be more accurate to have 2 separate polls when you want accurate stats.
In this poll, 77 men voted and 42 masturbate daily (well over half).
For the women, 203 voted and 73 masturbate daily (slightly over 30%).
Clearly, well over 50% of the men masturbate daily and about 35% of women masturbate daily. If you just look at the % in this poll you would say that more women than men masturbate daily when it is actually (on a percentage basis) twice as many men as women who do it daily.
What do others think of this? When it is a poll based on sex (male/female) differences does it make sense to have 2 separate polls?
Thanks.
