How do you feel about re-gifting toys you don't like that much?

Funny you ask this. I have two HUGE Tupperware storage containers FULL of toys that we tried ONCE, didn't like and that was that. However, I never knew what to do with them. I don't know anyone I would give them to, and felt strange selling a USED sex toy on eBay..assuming you even could...so there they sit. Unused, unloved..and for all intents, almost new. I, however, know I would never, ever accept a used toy from anyone else, so I don't expect anyone to want mine!

I've swapped toys with a few VERY close friends, lol we've been together before so it's no big deal. I would not give or accept a toy from someone I haven't slept with or and not very close to though. Also, if the toy has come into contact with someone I don't know I also wouldn't accept it, now would I gift a toy of mine that had come into contact with anyone else

I would only begin to consider it if the toy were boiled in a pressure cooker or run through an autoclave. This means that most toys (by volume) are out, as only steel, glass, silicone and ceramic could survive that.

If I got one I'd also process it again right after I got it, just to make sure.

While this should in theory work, I haven't done it yet and it does just seem a bit odd.

I don't trust anyone but myself, and a steady partner... unless it's going to my lesbian lover, I don't see how I would feel using someone else's toys... Would you want your new BF using the toys he used with his ex on you? Ew.

If I'm not romantically involved with you, I really have no interest in inserting something of yours into my vagina. It's really just that simple. It doesn't matter if a condom was used, the material of the toy...none of it. I'm just really squimish like that.

I would never be able to share a sex toy with anyone other than my wife. I don't think it's gross or anything, it's just not for me. Maybe I worry too much, but I always think "better safe than sorry."

I've given a few silicone vibrators away to friends who couldn't get their own for various reasons (embarrassment / money / living situation). But I always instruct them on how to clean the toys before use.

I've only done this once. It was with two of the free gifts I had gotten. With both of them, all I did was stick batteries in them, turn them on, realize that they sucked, and gave them to a beginner friend who was happy to take them.

I wouldn't ever regift a toy simply on the principle of it

I would only re-gift a used toy if a) it was nonporous and b) I had discussed it with the recipient, and they had told me they wanted it.

I would accept a re-gifted used toy, if, again, it was nonporous and it was something I actually wanted. And naturally, I would sanitize it myself upon receiving it.

The way you're doing it sounds perfectly sanitary and reasonable.

I wouldn't re-gift any toys unless a friend wanted a toy.
