Large size condoms in nonlatex?

Contributor: P'Gell P'Gell
I should probably already know this, but I am not working in an OBGYN office right now and am out of the loop.

We need a large sized condom (years ago, we used to use the Magnum but I developed a latex allergy and we had to not use them) and it has to be non-latex.

We don't use condoms often, but once in a while, when it isn't during my period (we have discovered through trial and error and many years of sex that I do NOT ovulate during my periods. Some women do.) My Man says he wants to come inside me, and I would LOVE to have him come inside me. Oral sex with him coming in my mouth is nice, and anal sex with ejaculation and orgasm is also great. But, sometimes we want to have PIV and we both want to not have to pull out to avoid pregnancy. (Please, don't lecture me on Withdrawal. I'm a nurse and many people can and DO use Withdrawal as a very effective form of birth control. Planned Parenthood even endorses it for some couples.)

So, am I missing something, or is there really a large size condom in non-latex?

No, a "regular size" condom does not fit him. It only comes up a little more than half way, which causes pain to both of us, they have a high breakage rate, because they are too tight, and he usually ends up taking the thing off after only a few minutes.

There is a difference for Big Men between large size condoms and regular sized condoms.

Anyone have a suggestion?

I know very little about them, but if you're looking for a non-latex solution and one that will accommodate a larger penis, what about a female condom?

I've thought about that. One of the problems is similar to why I can't use a diaphragm (I've had two different kinds) My urethra is damaged and has scar tissue from UTIs that started when I was only 3 years old. I also had surgery when I was 21 that ended in complications that resulted in even more scar tissue. I can't use anything that presses on the urethra in any way. From what I can see the female condom presses right on the urethra through the vaginal wall. My GYN advised me not to use it because of my history.

Also, the outside ring seems to rest right on the clitoris. My Man and I have sex and go back and forth to one activity to the other. PIV may turn into cunnilingus in a minute, so there's that damn ring in the way.

I have thought about this, and also the price (considering we have sex on an average of once a day. Sometimes more than that) would also be prohibitive. The female condom costs $7.66 each. In some weeks, that would cost us more than $76.00 a week, just for condoms! We just don't have that kind of money.

Thanks anyway, though.

I don't personally know of any but I did a quick internet search and came up with this link. It looks like trojan supra might be an option. I've never tried it though so who knows.

Thank you for helping. I have real problems with stuff like this; I'm also allergic to spermicide! They also don't seem that much bigger than regular condoms, but I couldn't find the base width, which is a problem. He looks like two linked hot dogs with a regular condom on. It cuts him in half. So the base has to be also large.

I did an other newer Google search (I have done, like 100 of them) and I found this one Lifestyles Skyn Large I've used SKYN condoms, which are made of polyisproine (much better than polyurethane) for toys in the past and really liked them. I have to be careful with lubricant (no glycerin) and I can't use condoms or anything else with spermicide.

I think this might be it! Thank you for spurring me to do an other Google Search. I think these SKYN large condoms are really new, because I haven't seen them before.

Although we probably can't use the ones you found, you did help me by making me do an other search.

Thank you.

Good I'm glad you found something! It must be frustrating to find something that works with so many factors to work around.

Thank you again. Here's a pic. I can get them from the manufacturer or from a few websites. I'll have to ask My Man if he wants me to get them now.

If Eden would carry them, I'd be HAPPY to do the DR and a review.

HEY, ADMINS! Carrying non-latex condoms is a good idea, and I'll do the DR and review. Hint Hint Hint Hint

Yeah, my significant other has a latex allergy and needs to use the large size, and has used LifeStyles Skyn Large before. (We don't use condoms, though)

I was going to suggest it, but, you already found it!

I have a severe reaction to latex and Skyn brand work nicely for myself.
I can attest to the Lifestyles Skyn Large brand working perfectly for those of large girth(almost 7in circumference) and length. (My only complaint:if he's in the average length area, it will hang off the end of his penis like a windsock) Too bad they don't make large girth nonlatex condoms for those that are average length.

Trojan supra sucks, just saying, it feels like a plastic bag and likes to rip easily.

Couldn't you just stop unrolling it when it's at the base of his penis, and leave the extra rolled up?

It unrolls fully by itself with vigorous thrusting. >_<
