I'm curious to see what forms of birth control our community prefers~ I made it multiple choice in case you use more than one. Also, this is just for preventing pregnancy, not STDs. I might do a follow up poll since there are so many different items you can use for that, depending on the sort of sex you have.

I used "non-heterosexual" to try and be as inclusive as possible. ^ - ^

I currently have the Mirena, the worst thing ever. However, i'm not paying $150 to get it removed.

Before I had the mirena in we would just use the 'Pull Out' method. Seemed to work every time. Obviously it's not something I would recommend, but it worked for us.

Neither I nor my husband like condoms and I can count on one hand how many times we actually used a condom since the first day we were together.

It goes between condom and the pill. I've tried many forms and the pill is my favorite.

I'm sorry you don't like the Mirena! Any particular reason why?

I have the Mirena IUD, this is actually my second one and I love it!

I'm currently using the Ortho Evra Patch after many bad reactions to other forms. Aside from a few pounds added, I'm happy with it.

Haha if there's one thing my psychology (yes, psychology) class drilled into me it's "the pullout method does not work!" XD Just reminded me of that.

I am on the Depo shot and have been for 10 years except for when I was off of it and had not found a doctor yet when I moved and ended up having my lil one.

I have been on the pill for awhile for health reasons, and when we started dating we used condoms just to be extra careful. Those got to be too costly, so now it's just the pill and pull-out. So far so good.

We use pull out method. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone, but it has worked for us the last 5 years.

Used to be condoms...Now that the operation has taken effect we are free to not worry about slipping one past the goalie.

Just had my second Paragard IUD inserted about a week ago. Absolutely love IUDs, but I would go for the Essure procedure if my insurance company would cover it.

i LOVE my mirena!!! i haven't had my period in 6 yrs i just had a new one put in again in February of this year. just a warning though it hurts like a bitch to have them put in and taken out.

i have also been on the pill that was ok but i had my period then
